This project has three components and will be realized through synergies between them. In developing Community Development Plans, (Component 1) communities will be invited to contribute to prioritizing economic and agricultural infrastructure and agricultural/business development priorities for their mahallas. In identifying income generating opportunities (Component 2), communities will be asked to identify how infrastructure investments can be optimized to ensure that they support the identified agricultural/business development objectives. Component 3, aimed primarily at institutionalizing participatory mechanisms and promoting the sustainability of infrastructure established under project interventions, will be tailored to local conditions, infrastructure investments, and income generation priorities. And importantly, climate-sensitive solutions will be promoted across all project components.
