It was previously reported that the Joint Project Implementation Unit specialists, together with staff from local khokimiyats and UNDP representatives, participated in a field trip to Latvia as part of the Sustainable Rural Development project. During the visit, the delegation delved into the LEADER program's advanced practices, which are backed by the European Agricultural Fund for Rural Development.
Participants examined Latvia's techniques for fostering suitable conditions for rural inhabitants, encompassing job creation initiatives and climate change mitigation measures.
The structure and management of the program at various levels, the bottom-up approach to rural community development, the development of local strategies, project selection and implementation, and the important role of NGOs in promoting rural development were also discussed.
Currently, the Uzbek delegation continues to participate in training seminars in Slovakia.
