Organized a study tour to exchange experiences in the field of sustainable development

An exchange program for Latvia and Slovakia was organized within the framework of the Sustainable Rural Development Project.

The program participants were representatives of four regional khokimiyats - Republic of Karakalpakstan, Khorezm, Bukhara and Navoi, where this project is being implemented, as well as UNDP project specialists and JPIU staff.

During the trip, the team will familiarize themselves with best practices in sustainable rural development. The Uzbek delegation will also schedule a number of meetings with representatives of relevant ministries, assess current sustainable agriculture practices, as well as energy and water conservation initiatives. It is planned to visit villages where innovative technologies in the agricultural sector are being introduced.
