On May 13 of the current year at the Termez University of Economics and Service was held presentation meeting with representatives of local authorities within the framework of the project Integrated Rural Development (2nd stage) with the participation of the Islamic Development Bank.
Otabek Ruziev, Head of Secretariat of First Deputy khokim of Surkhandarya region on financial and economic development and poverty reduction, Abdunazar Urоzov, Deputy Head of Economy and Finance Department of the province, Jakhongir Akhmedov, Monitoring Specialist from the Joint Project Implementation Unit under the Ministry of Economy and Finance, and Bakhtiyor Sayfitdinov, Project Manager from UNDP participated in the presentation and presented a detailed overview of the project to the participants of the meeting.
This project envisages construction and overhaul of social infrastructure facilities, improvement of electricity, drinking water and sewerage, creation of green jobs and capacity building of local specialists and population in 60 mahallas of 5 districts of Surkhandarya region:
In Boysun district – 9:

In Sherabad district – 22:
