Within the Sustainable Rural Development Project, the Environmental and Social Protection Specialists of the Joint Project Implementation Unit under the Ministry of Economy and Finance are identifying ongoing environmental and social assessment processes at construction sites located in Urgench, Gurlan, Yangibazar, Khonka, Khazarasp and Bagat districts of Khorezm region.
The impact of the construction of social facilities, such as family medical clinics, mahalla consumer service centers, and kindergartens on the environmental and social life of the population is studied.
These assessments identify land areas for constructing and analyze situations such as plant removal or prevention of other negative environmental and social impacts from construction activities. In summary, subproject screening is employed to examine various impacts that may arise in the future and preliminarily identify acceptable solutions.
