Local Voices – a basis for decisions on Rural Infrastructure Development

As part of the Integrated Rural Development Project, a roundtable discussion was held to review the results of the Participatory Needs Assessment (PNA) Concept, developed by the Project’s supporting partner organization, the United Nations Development Programme (UNDP).

The core idea of the Concept is that decisions on rural infrastructure development should be more closely grounded in the actual needs and priorities of local communities. The document was developed by a specialist based on an analysis of national documents, international experience, and the findings of consultations conducted in Tashkent City and the Samarkand, Kashkadarya, and Surkhandarya regions.

The roundtable brought together representatives of ministries and government agencies, partner organizations, and local authorities involved in the implementation of the Project.
