Meeting Held with Representatives of the Islamic Development Bank

A meeting was held at the office of the Joint Projects Implementation Unit under the Ministry of Economy and Finance with a delegation from the Regional Hub of the Islamic Development Bank Group in Almaty, headed by Hammad Zafar Hundal, Head of the Regional Hub.

During the meeting, the parties discussed the Sustainable Rural Development Project and the Integrated Rural Development Project (Phase 2), which are being implemented in cooperation with the Bank. These projects aim to improve the quality of life of residents in remote areas by upgrading social infrastructure facilities and engineering infrastructure.

The participants exchanged views on the progress of the projects covering mahallas across the Republic of Karakalpakstan and the regions of Bukhara, Navoi, Khorezm, Samarkand, Surkhandarya, and Kashkadarya. The discussions focused on the scale of ongoing construction works, financial performance, and the impact of the subprojects on local communities.

The parties also discussed ways to strengthen cooperation and further expand collaboration in the future.
