Prospects for cooperation discussed with Islamic Development Bank Representatives

A meeting on the Sustainable Rural Development Project and the Integrated Rural Development Project (Phase II) was held during the latest mission of representatives of the Islamic Development Bank (IsDB) to Uzbekistan.

The IsDB delegation from the Bank’s Regional Hub in Almaty included Farid Khan, Country Operations Manager, Zarangez Makhmudova, Project Management Specialist, and other Bank representatives. During the meeting, the participants discussed the current implementation status of the projects, upcoming priorities, and prospects for further cooperation.

Through these two jointly implemented projects, construction and rehabilitation of social infrastructure and public facilities are currently being carried out in more than 40 districts across six regions of Uzbekistan and the Republic of Karakalpakstan. The parties also explored opportunities to further strengthen and expand their partnership.
