Within the framework of the Sustainable Rural Development Project implemented by the Ministry of Economy and Finance, reconstruction and capital repair works underway in Shofirkon district of Bukhara region were reviewed.
In particular, reconstruction works are ongoing at Secondary School No. 42 located in the “Khorkash” mahalla, including the capital rehabilitation of the existing 180-seat building, construction of an additional 120-seat academic building, a school canteen, and an indoor sports hall. Discussions were held with representatives of the contracting organization to ensure the quality and timely completion of the works.
In addition, a 5.2 km pedestrian walkway has been completed in the “Mirzokul” mahalla, and preparatory works for asphalt paving of the respective road section have been carried out.
Furthermore, in the “Tezguzar” mahalla of Shofirkon district, works are planned to improve 13 km of drinking water supply networks, upgrade the electricity supply system (including installation of transformers and network expansion), and asphalt 9 km of internal roads.
Specialists also provided recommendations on ensuring the quality of construction works and compliance with occupational health and safety standards.
