A meeting was held in the city of Navoi within the framework of the second phase of the Integrated Rural Development Project, which is being implemented by the Ministry of Economy and Finance with the financial support of the Islamic Development Bank.
The event was attended by heads of secretariats responsible for construction, communications, utilities, ecology, and landscaping from the regional hokimiyats of the three project-covered regions – Kashkadarya, Samarkand, and Surkhandarya. Also present were deputy heads responsible for sectoral matters from the “Single Customer Service” Engineering Company under the regional khokimiyats, representatives of the “Qishloqqurilishloyiha” State Institution branches in the respective regions, regional officials from the Departments of Automobile Roads, “Uzsuvtaminot” (Water Supply), and Regional Electric Network Enterprises, as well as deputy heads of the regional Departments of Economy and Finance and regional staff of the Joint Projects Implementation Group.
As part of the project, it is planned to construct, reconstruct, and carry out major repairs of 684 social and engineering infrastructure facilities across 157 mahallas in 21 districts of Kashkadarya, Samarkand, and Surkhandarya regions.
During the meeting, information was also shared about the progress and experiences of the Sustainable Rural Development Project being implemented in the Republic of Karakalpakstan, as well as in Khorezm, Bukhara, and Navoi regions.
