Construction projects underway in Urgench District as part of the Sustainable Rural Development initiative

In accordance with Presidential Decree No. PD-5246, issued on September 8, 2021, "On Measures to Implement the Sustainable Rural Development Project with the Participation of the Islamic Development Bank and the OPEC Fund for International Development," construction activities are actively continuing in Khorezm region.

As part of the project, a preschool educational institution for 150 children is under construction in the “Gulobod” MCA of Urgench district. The facility is being built by the contracting organization Khorezm Bobur Mirzo LLC, with eleven builders currently working on-site. Once completed, this subproject is expected to benefit over 2,200 residents.

Additionally, the construction of a mahalla center designed to provide household services to the local population is underway in “Hidoyat” MCA of Urgench district. Covering a total area of 800 m², the facility is being built at an estimated cost of 3.77 billion soums by Orion Fortuna Plus LLC.

The three-story building will house a variety of essential services, including:

Training centers

• A beauty salon and barber shop
• A pharmacy
• Special rooms for bank representatives
• Offices for the chairman of the Mahalla Citizens’ Assembly, the khokim’s assistant, a women’s activist, a youth leader, and a prevention inspector
• A dry-cleaning service
• A fitness room
• A confectionery shop and a retail store

The project aims to enhance the quality of life for local residents by improving access to essential services and fostering community development.
