As part of the Sustainable Rural Development Project, a Mahalla Household Services Center was commissioned in the “Mirvoshi” MCA of Vobkent District, Bukhara region.
This center was established to address the needs of the local population and will serve as a multifunctional hub, providing assistance in various social, household, and administrative matters. The ground floor of the building includes designated areas for sorting and packing fruits and vegetables, as well as auxiliary rooms. On the first floor, there are facilities such as a separate barbershop and beauty salon for women, a pharmacy, offices for bank representatives, waiting areas, and rooms for the Chairman of the MCA, the assistant mayor, a women's activist, a youth leader, and a preventive inspector. The center also houses a public service office, a confectionery workshop, and a department store.
The second floor is dedicated to training centers, including a Career Guidance Center, a dry-cleaning service, and a fitness room. The third floor features a sewing workshop, a household appliance repair center, and a youth center.
On the same day, a newly constructed family polyclinic with a capacity of 50 visits per day was inaugurated in the “Sufidehqon” MCA of Vabkent District. Before the construction of this facility, the area lacked a modern healthcare center, and medical services were provided in small, outdated cargo container units that were insufficient for delivering quality healthcare.
Built with funding from the Islamic Development Bank, the new polyclinic aims to provide high-quality medical services to over 2,300 residents. Nearly 2.8 billion soums were allocated for the construction and equipment of this modern healthcare facility, which includes 14 specialized rooms for gynecology, physiotherapy, vaccination, sterilization, treatment, and laboratory services, as well as a two-bed day inpatient unit. Separate consultation rooms for women, children, and the elderly ensure comprehensive medical care. The facility is also equipped to support the work of 16 medical personnel.
The opening ceremony was attended by local residents, as well as representatives from the Islamic Development Bank, the Ministry of Economy and Finance, UNDP, and the Bukhara Regional Khokimiyat.
