Supervision mission of the Islamic Development Bank representatives begins

From February 10-14, 2025, a supervision mission consisting of representatives from the Islamic Development Bank is visiting Uzbekistan.

The first meeting of the mission took place at the head office of the Joint Projects Implementation Unit (JPIU) under the Ministry of Economy and Finance as part of the Sustainable Rural Development Project and Integrated Rural Development Project.

The meeting was attended by Wahyu Wijayanto, Operations Team Leader of the Islamic Development Bank, Project Management Specialists Alibek Kazangapov and Zarangez Makhmudova, as well as the leadership and staff of JPIU.

During the discussions, the parties exchanged views on the current progress of the projects, key performance indicators, and plans for the year-end. Additionally, they addressed the advantages of transitioning to the National Information System “Shaffof Qurilish” to enhance transparency and efficiency in procurement processes.

In the coming days, IsDB representatives are scheduled to visit construction sites under the Sustainable Rural Development Project to assess the progress of ongoing projects.
