Environmental and social monitoring of construction sites in the Republic of Karakalpakstan was conducted with the participation of Environmental and Social Safeguard Specialists from the Joint Projects Implementation Unit under the Ministry of Economy and Finance, along with employees from the regional office.
Experts visited construction sites in Beruniy, Ellikqala, Turtkul, Amudarya, and Nukus districts. During the monitoring process, compliance with environmental and social protection requirements was observed. Suggestions and feedback were gathered from residents living near the facilities.
As part of the Sustainable Rural Development Project, interviews were conducted with contractors to ensure the implementation of environmental standards and maintain safety in the construction areas. Additionally, meetings were held with residents of the aules to provide information on the grievance redress mechanism, promoting transparency and community engagement.
