A mission from the Islamic Development Bank (IsDB) is visiting Tashkent from October 14 to 18 this year. The purpose of the visit is to review the progress of investment projects implemented in Uzbekistan with IsDB’s support and hold meetings with the project executors responsible for program implementation.
On the first day of the visit, a meeting was organized at the Joint Projects Implementation Unit (JPIU) under the Ministry of Economy and Finance. Attendees included Wahyu Wijanto, Head of the Operations Unit, Ghaiath Al Shanawani, Regional Disbursement Specialist, Daniyar Akbassov, Project Management Specialist, Khusan Khasanov, IsDB Field Representative in Uzbekistan, Bahodir Turaev, Director of JPIU; Ravshan Usmanov, Deputy Director and other JPIU staff.
During the meeting, representatives from JPIU and IsDB discussed the progress of the Sustainable Rural Development Project and the Integrated Rural Development Project (Phase 2). Key topics included the effective organization of project activities, prevention of potential challenges, and addressing existing issues.
